New Slip On Mufflers
12/16/2009

Yorba Linda, CA --Cobra Engineering announced the release of its new 3-inch Slip-on mufflers for Harley-Davidson motorcycles. With fitments for Baggers, Softails, Dynas, Rockers, and Sportsters, Cobra has covered Harley's air-cooled lineup with a full range of years--1995 through 2010.

In an economic environment that makes consumers count every penny, these new for 2010 slip-ons offer a way for a rider to customize his bike without breaking the bank. Priced at $299.95 per set ($349.95 for Bagger models), these mufflers offer more features and benefits than others at a much better price. For example, they include billet aluminum tips, while other pipes on the market charge an additional premium for those. And these tips can be rotated to three positions so the rider can chose either a slash-down look a slash-cut look or one in between.

And on models that use a cross-over on the stock system, the Cobra Slip-ons include a similar OEM-style balance tube to increase overall performance. These slip-ons come with 2-inch baffles, with optional baffles available to alter the sound. They use a constant velocity baffle design for improved performance, and the baffle also uses a high-density fiberglass wrap and stainless steel mesh, which contributes to a better aural quality. Though the baffles work to reduce the tone and volume, they also contribute to the power gains from the mufflers, which are among the highest in the industry. They fit the stock head pipes on all models as well as the new Cobra PowerPort Duals and the Cobra True Dual head pipes for Baggers.

"In a lot of ways and in some areas, the consumer sees a bold new slip-on world," said Tim McCool, Cobra Engineering President. "The overall economy has buyers looking for more value and more performance from the products they want to purchase. That's exactly what our new slip-ons offer. Great made-in-America quality, better performance than the competition, more features with our billet tips and all at a better price. This is just what today's buyers have been seeking."

These slip-ons utilize the stock OEM mounting brackets for a simple, quick installation, so the customer can install these easily themselves.
