New H-D Exhaust Offerings
12/15/2009

Yorba Linda, CA --Cobra Engineering unleashed an entirely new group of mufflers and full systems for Harley-Davidson Baggers to complement Cobra's existing line of made-in-America exhaust products. The products range from the high quality-low cost slip-on mufflers to high end, almost custom, systems highlighted by its new, one-of-a-kind Tri-Oval mufflers.

Tri-Oval Mufflers
These slip-on mufflers announce themselves with a thundering bass rumble, yet they are quiet enough to pass the existing sound guidelines recently established by the Motorcycle Industry Council and the Society of Automotive Engineers. But they do far more than just sound great. With their Tri-Oval design, with full-size, aluminum V-tips with dual exhaust ports these mufflers look like nothing else on the market. The round front seamlessly morphs to Tri-oval shape at the rear. But it's the tip that gets the most attention.

These mufflers also deliver increased performance gains over the stock mufflers, with a bump up especially in the low and mid-range. They are available in chrome as well as with a black body and chromed tip. The installation is simple, as the mufflers mount to stock head pipes or to Cobra's new Power Port head pipes as well as Cobra's True Dual head pipes for pre-2009 Baggers.

PowerPort Duals (Head pipes)
These dual head pipes take the duals notion to a whole new level. Every one loves the clean look of a true-dual system, but the truth is, those systems don't deliver when it comes to performance. That's all changed with the Cobra PowerPort Duals. Because of the Cobra PowerPort's unique crossover that connects the front and rear head pipes, this system performs like a true 2-into-1 pipe with the clean look of a traditional dual system. The PowerPort Dual head pipes broaden the low end and mid-range torque curve, perfect for touring and highway use, as it also provides a noticeable power boost across entire rpm range. It includes oxygen sensor bungs.

Speedster Duals
This system starts with the PowerPort Duals head pipes and keeps with the famous Cobra Speedsters. They give great sound that's enhanced by the proprietary PowerPort crossover, which also provides a power boost across entire rpm range. Full-length 2.5-inch single heat shields give a full seamless appearance. The oxygen sensor bungs are included in the head pipes. Straight-cut, chromed billet tip finishes off the pipes

3-inch slip-on mufflers
In an economic environment that makes consumers count every penny, these new for 2010 slip-ons offer a way for a rider to customized his bike without breaking the bank. Priced at $299.95 per set (349.95 for baggers), these mufflers offer more features and benefits than others at a much better price. For example, they include billet aluminum tips, while other pipes on the market charge an additional premium for those. And these tips can be rotated to three positions so the rider can choose either a slash-down look a slash-cut look or one in between.

These pipes come with two-inch baffles, but there are optional baffles available should the rider want to alter the sound. These fit the stock head pipes as well as the new Cobra PowerPort Duals and the Cobra True Dual head pipes.
