The Cobra True-Dual's large-diameter, 2.5-inch heat shields give the pipes the correct proportions for the traditionally styled V-Twins. The one-piece heat shields lend a seamless flow, especially the rear shield that winds out to the left side of the motorcycle, and they cover the pipes from the exhaust ports to the chromed, muffler bodies. The pipes were also designed to deliver optimal torque and power while improving the stock motorcycle's rideability. Models for 2007 and 2008 H-D Dressers come equipped with the bungs for the OEM oxygen sensors.

And with its 1 3/4-inch head pipes the true duals will accept the stock Harley-Davidson mufflers, or customers can choose one of the four offerings from Cobra. Those offerings include the HP muffler that is a four-inch muffler with a beautifully chromed, straight-cut billet tip. The other muffler options are an upper cut, slash cut or slash down (each without the billet tip). Each muffler uses a baffle wrapped in sound deadening fiberglass packing to keep the noise down.
